[54] Ashe, Isaac A., irischer Irrenarzt, geb. 1834, studierte im Trinity Coll. zu Dublin und im Richmond Hosp., erlangte seit 1860 verschiedene Grade, den des Dr. med. 1874, und eine Reihe von Preisen. Er war nacheinander Hausarzt in den Richmond Hospitälern, Physic. des Letterkenny Fever Hosp., Visit. und Consult. Physic. des Donegal Co. Irrenhauses, Physic.-Superintend. des Central Criminal Asylum zu Dundrum, Co. Dublin und starb 12. November 1891. Er schrieb: »Function of oblique muscles of eye-ball« (Reports of the Brit. Assoc. of the Advanc. of Sc., 1861 bis 62) – »Function of auricular appendix« – »Suggestions on the interests of the med. profession« (Brit. Med. Assoc., 1867) – »Med. education and med. interests« (war 1868 die Carmichal 100 £ Preisschrift des R. C. S.
