Williams, Charles Theodore

[1856] Williams, Charles Theodore, zu London, Sohn des Vorigen, geb. daselbst[1856] 29. Aug. 1838, studierte in Oxford, im St. George's Hosp. und Paris, als Schüler seines Vaters, von Bence Jones, Fuller und Trousseau, begann seine Praxis in London 1865, wurde 1866 Prosektor für Anatomie und Physiologie an der med. Schule des St. George's Hosp., 1867 Assist. Physic. am Consumption Hosp. in Brompton, 1871 Physic. und wurde 1886 wiedergewählt. 1871 wurde er Fellow des Roy. Coll. of Phys., 1891 Mitglied des Council, hielt 1893 die Luml. Lect.; in der Londoner Med. Soc. war er Sekretär, Bibliothekar, Lettsomian Lecturer und Vize-Präsident. Er verfasste: »Climate of the south of France with notices of the Mediterranean and other winter stations« (2. ed. 1869) – »Lettsomian lectures on the influence of climate in the treatment of pulmonary consumption« (Med.-Chir. Transact., LIV) – »Treatment of phthisis by residence at high altitudes« (Transact. of the Internat. Med. Congress, 1881) – »On bronchiectasis« (Brit. Med. Journ., 1881) – »The tubercle bacillus and phthisis« (Lancet, 1883) – »Pulmonary consumption, its nature, varieties and treatment« (2. ed. 1887, zusammen mit C. J. B.
