[1210] Nixon, Frederick Alcock, zu Dublin, geb. zu Enniskillen 23. Sept. 1850, studierte zu Dublin in der Ledwich School of Med. und in Mercer's Hosp., diente als Surgeon in der k. Marine, aus der er 1874 ausschied, war Member des King and Queens' Coll. of Physic. seit 1881, Surgeon am Mercer's Hosp. und Dozent der Chir. an der Ledwich School und starb 23. Mai 1897. Er schrieb: »Genu valgum in the adult successfully treated by Mc Ewen's Operation« (Med. Press and Circ, 1880) – »Successful excision of entire scapula with tumour over 4 pounds« (Brit. Med. Journ., 1882) – »Excision of tumour of upper jaw through mouth by small circular saws worked on an engine« (Ib. 1883).
