[233] Seaton (spr. ßīt'n), Robert Cooper, engl. Geschichtschreiber, geb. 19. Mai 1853 in Hull, studierte in Cambridge und war 1881–87 Fellow eines College daselbst. 1887 wurde er zum Professor an der St. Paulsschule in London ernannt. Er schrieb: »Sir Hudson Lowe and Napoleon« (Lond. 1898); »Napoleons captivity in relation to Sir Hudson Lowe« (das. 1903) und gab 1900 die »Argonautica« des Apollonius Rhodius, 1903 die »Notes and reminiscences of a staff-officer« des Oberstleutnants Basil Jackson heraus.[233]
