Stjuört), Moses, geb. 1780 zu Wilton im Staate Connecticut; besuchte das Yale College zu New Haven, studirte Rechtswissenschaften, war einige Jahre Lehrer, studirte dann Theologie, wurde 1806 Pastor in New Haven u. 1810 Professor der biblischen Literatur am Theologischen Seminar zu Andover, wo er am 4. Januar 1852 starb.
